Why I Love MSN.com

Internet & Blogging May 5th, 2008

We’ve all heard of MSN, one of the top search engines on the web where you can search for used cisco software, flowers for your mom, to pretty much everything else in between.  But one of the great things I love about it is the great content and articles they also provide.  My favorite is the Careers & Jobs page that I usually read several times a week on my lunch hour.  Even though I have a great job and a rewarding career I enjoy the wealth of information it provides in case I ever decide to make a change down the road.  They have everything from the fastest growing work from home jobs, tips on how to search for a job while at work, and even pointers on how to prepare for a layoff.  Our job or career is our livelihood and so much a part of who we are.  One of the best lessons I ever learned was to pursue a job that makes you happy and satisfied.  There’s nothing worse than going to a job that you dread everyday.

Why I Love PayPerPost.com

Internet & Blogging, Work From Home January 3rd, 2008

When I decided to become a physical therapist assistant I knew that I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives in a healthcare setting.  However, I don’t want to be on a “one-dimensional” career path.  To me ”one-dimensional” means throwing yourself into one field with that being the only way you define your working life.  I am a physical therapist assistant but now I am also a writer thanks to blog advertising.  I really love to write even though I never considered myself a very good writer.  So when I decided to start a blog so that I wouldn’t become “one dimensional,” I was somewhat anxious about whether or not I could do it.  After 3 months of trial and error, the frustration of installing wordpress on my own domain, countless hours of reviewing the best paid to blog sites, I am finally set up with what I believe is the best paid to blog site on the web: blog advertising  Payperpost has the easiest site navigation which shows you which opportunities you qualify for using a simple coloring coding system.  All you do is register your blog and wait for approval once your blog meets all the requirements.  With the extra money I earn from blogging with blog advertising I plan to pay off some debt (those dreadful student loans!), get a foot massage at the spa, and make a few desperately needed home improvements.

The Best Antivirus for 2008?

Internet & Blogging December 29th, 2007

Back in November I had to renew my yearly antivirus protection for my PC.  I’ve been using Norton for the last several years so I decided to renew it thinking it would be an easy process.  And, Norton has done fairly well at protecting my computer and I’d never had any major crashes like I did with McAfee.  I couldn’t have been more wrong.  Before I could install the newest version of Norton I had to uninstall the older version.  So I make my purchase and try to uninstall the old and install the new.  It’s not working.  I keep trying and its still not working.  I call customer service and in order to figure out what is wrong I must give the customer service agent full access to my computer.  I sit watching as the agent clicks away going through places on my computer I never knew existed.  I have no idea what he is doing and I am honestly horrified.  He manages to fix the error blocking the installation only to find another error that still will not allow my antivirus to work.  I ended up purchasing a registry cleaner so I could finally get my antivirus up and running.  After all the frustration I’ve had with antivirus software I may try a new service for my renewal in November of 2008.  I’ve been seriously considering PC Security Shield after reading some reviews on other sites.  If anyone has tried this service please comment!

If your like me two of my favorite things are writing about cool stuff and getting paid.  So why not get paid to write about cool stuff?  That’s exactly what people all over the internet are doing with their blogs.  Writing what inspires them and earning cash for doing so.  How many of us will fulfill the dream of becoming a famous best-selling writer and retire in the South of France?  Well, dreams are great but lets get back to reality.  The next best thing is signing up with a paid to blog site like Bloggerwave.com.  All you do is register on their website, wait for blog approval, then review available opportunities to write about.  Each opportunity will show how much you will get paid before accepting the offer then the cash is deposited right into your paypal account.  To learn more just visit Bloggerwave.com for details.

I Have Finally Arrived

Internet & Blogging November 11th, 2007

Finally, I own a weblog.  Yes, it took me forever but the time has come.  For the past 2 years my nose was almost permanently attached to anatomy and kinesiology books so I could get a ”real job” as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.  I literally had no spare time to do anything but study.  I felt horribly guilty if I indulged in anything else since my livelihood depended on getting my degree and passing my federal board exam.  Excuses.  Excuses.  While I enjoy my new career in healthcare, I also enjoy writing about everyday life, my family, my job, food, and things that I think are cool.  One of the coolest things I’ve stumbled upon is Blogsvertise.   Blogsvertise is cool because you get to write about products or services and get paid while doing so.  The best part is they welcome your honesty and your own personal perspective.  Whether you have something positive to say or something to gripe about all posts are welcome as long as you are true to what you are writing.  Writing honestly is what its about.  Their site explains all the steps you need to take to begin earning a little extra cash from your blog.  The rules for earning are simple and easy to follow with payments being made through paypal.
